Innochem's patent and technology portfolio has a brand new route to low emission and low hysteresis slabstock foams. These new furniture grade foams, will pass smoulder and vertical burn Cal 117 flammability test by using a specially developed flame retardant which does not contain any Bromine or Chlorine. This new flame retardant only needs to be present in the foam at very low levels compared to the present use of Brominated or Chlorinated materials. Additionally, these new Cal 117 furniture foams easily pass the Internal Air Quality test levels laid down by the Daimler Benz test VDA 278 for Volatile Organic Chemical emissions (100 ppm Max.) and Fogging behaviour (250 ppm Max). We pass AB 706, and Cal 117.
These foams have outstanding Humid Age and Dynamic Fatigue properties that out perform equivalent HR and Conventional flexible polyurethane foams (see News).
